2,062 Reasons to Say Thank You

I sat down to write this post thinking it would just be a quick “thanks y’all,” but the truth is—this milestone deserves more than that. Because when I launched these books into the world, I didn’t expect this.

I didn’t expect 2,060 of you to download my eBooks.

I didn’t expect 2 people to buy physical copies of stories that came from the rawest, most vulnerable places inside me.

And I sure didn’t expect over 6,500 pages to be read through Kindle Unlimited in one month alone.

But here we are.

The Numbers Behind the Gratitude

If you know me, you know I’m a data nerd with the heart of a poet. So let’s break it down:

Total books sold/downloaded:
2,062 units (eBook + print combined)

Top performers so far:

  • Suté & Solitude – 186 units
  • A Secret in the Air – 143
  • Small Town Gayby (Vol. 1 & 2) – 135 each
  • Beautiful Things I Almost Believed – 100
  • You Looked Cute Last Night, Oil and Glitter, Flour & Fury, and A Fragile Armistice are all sitting comfortably above 80–90 units
  • Over half of the 34 books released are now out in the world with 50+ readers each—and that number keeps growing

And look, I know the industry talks in six-figure advances and bestseller lists, but when you’re an indie author writing raw, queer, emotional, sometimes absurd, sometimes painful fiction—this kind of momentum means everything.

It means the stories are being read.

It means the work is resonating.

It means I’m not screaming into the void.

The Real Weight of Indie Success

Indie publishing isn’t for the faint of heart. It takes grit, obsession, self-doubt, Google Docs full of broken sentences, and more Diet Dr. Pepper than any one human should consume. But it also gives you this unparalleled connection to readers—people who find your work, often by accident, and then tell you it mattered to them. Also helps to not be able to sleep from chemotherapy.

Every message. Every comment. Every silent download from someone I’ll never meet but who’s now holding a piece of me on their Kindle—it all counts.

What’s Next?

Right now, I’m deep in edits on the final manuscripts for this wave of releases. Some are dark. Some are romantic. Some are angry and holy and weird in ways only trauma survivors can understand. They’re all coming soon.

So keep checking back. New covers. New blurbs. New chaos.

And hey—if you’ve read any of my books, I have one small favor to ask:

Please leave a review on Amazon.

Seriously. It doesn’t have to be long. A sentence or two makes a huge impact. Reviews help other readers discover these stories. They boost visibility, build trust, and open doors for queer indie voices like mine.

Closing Out with Love

To every single one of you who downloaded, read, shared, or talked about my books: thank you. You made this month feel like a breakthrough, not just a hustle. And I hope the words you read gave you something back too.

I’m not done.

Not even close.
